died Thursday April 28, 2005 at his residence. He was born January 8, 1931 in Staunton, the son of the late Allen Lloyd and Mary Harmon Rexrode. Mr. Rexrode was a retired Air Force veteran and more recently worked for The Virginian He loved to play golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Doris Brooks.
Survivors include his wife Shirley A. Rexrode, two daughters Barry Rexrode and Susan Folweiler both of Staunton; a son, Maurice L. Rexrode and his wife Sharon of TX; a step son, Michael W. Ham of Waynesboro; a brother Danny Rexrode of Verona; three grandchildren, James Rexrode, Shelby Rexrode and D'Ann Rexrode all of TX; three great grandchildren all of TX; a step-grandchild Joshua Ham of Waynesboro and Dexter his very loving dog. Caroline Morris Martin, 88, a longtime resident of Bridgewater who had currently resided at Loyalton of Harrisonburg, died April 27, 2005 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mrs.
Martin was born on October 9, 1916 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Sheldon and Dora Wheelbarger Morris. She had worked at the le Farm Bureau Grocery Department and then at Mick-or-Mack for 20 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed flowers. She was a lifelong member of Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church. On November 14, 1935, she married Dallas Martin who preceded her in death on November 14, 1972.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Lou Will and husband James Bridgewater; Margaret Alt and husband Marlin, New Market; and Louise Randolph and husband Dennis, Mount Sidney; two brothers, Julian Morris, Harrisonburg and Gordon Morris, Harrisonburg; six grandchildren, Richard Will, Joseph Will, Timothy Will, Jay Rhodes, Michele Funkhouser, Martin Randolph and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Diehl and two brothers, Morris and Richard (Dick) Morris Rev. Roberts, formerly of 208 Foxhill Place, Staunton, died at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday (April 27, 2005) in the Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville. She was born August 8, 1926 in Staunton, a daughter of the late George Minor and Eunice Kathleen (Baylor) Swisher. Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of Beverley Manor High School and Dunsmore Business College.
On August 1, 1984, she retired from the Division of War Veterans' Claims Office with 38 years of service. She was a member of Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church and a life-time member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, whom she married on July 30, 1955; a godchild, Sheila Myers of Staunton; numerous nieces and nephews; I great nieces and nephews; and four special friends, Dee, Izzie, Judy, and Libby. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday (April 30, 2005) in the Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev.

Biller, of 1838D Springhill Road, Staunton, VA, passed away at her residence at 4:07 P.M. on Tuesday April 26th. She was born October 2, 1920 at Hendrick, WV. She lived 80 of her 84 years in and around Elkins, WV. She worked managing a boarding house at Spruce WV for the Western Maryland Railroad.
She loved spending time with her husband, Junior, her family, and her dog Missy. Surviving family members are husband Junior Biller, daughter Annette Yvonne Brothers Moore and her husband Ernest G. Moore of Staunton, VA. Four grandchildren: Gary Moore and his wife Pat from Charlotte, NC, Clay Moore from Richmond, VA, Mark R. Moore and his wife Suzette from Staunton, VA, and Margaret Moore Crouch and her husband Bobby from Salem, VA.
Seven great grandchildren: dan Carol, Matthew, and Moore from Charlotte, NC, Brittany Nicole and John Christian Moore from Staunton, VA, and Kirsten Bailey and Ryan Austin Crouch from Salem, VA. OTTIE MAE THURBER REEVES WAYNESBORO, VA Ottie Mae Thurber Reeves, 86, of 1139 Madrid Road, Waynesboro, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Augusta Medical Center after a long illness. She was born June 5, 1918 in Staunton, daughter of Warren Thurber and Myrtle Lupton Thurber. Mrs. Reeves was an active member of Hermitage Presbyterian Church, and a volunteer for years with the "Recovery Room" Thrift Shop of Augusta Medical Center. She was a member of the Evergreen Garden and Craft Club.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Cyrus Reeves of Waynesboro; her daughter, Sandra Gruver and husband, Richard of Waynesboro; 3 grandchildren, Gregory Gruver and wife, Amy of Williamsburg, Robyn Stratton and husband, Chip of Waynesboro, Todd Gruver and wife, Stacy of Staunton; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Rebecca Little and husband, Morgan of MD, Gertrude Lotts and husband, William of Waynesboro, Marie Eakle of Santa Rosa, CA; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was born August 3, 1916 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Clara (Argenbright) Viel.
Mrs. Gaddy was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, the Mint Spring Ruritan Club, a past member of the Social Services Board, the Staunton-Augusta Republican Women's Club, the Home Demonstration Club, and a past member of the Forever Young Singers. We failed to thank some of the people involved. The Quick-Livick Bus Service, donated 2 buses at no charge to the lodge. The drivers were friendly and courteous in helping the Seniors on and off the buses. Also we would like to thank our Community Service Committee Frank and Brenda Shiflett. He was born October 21, 1914 in Waynesboro, VA the son of the late Charles and Clara Courtney. He attended the Sherando United Methodist Church and was a WWII Navy Veteran.
