I’m definitely a seafood gal, and I love everything from freshly-shucked oysters to deep-fried lobster towers.

Buster’s Sea Cove
This beloved casual seafood spot started out in St. Lawrence Market, and now they’ve got a few locations across downtown.
Their menu is made up of what’s seasonally available, and they’ve got everything from fish and chips, to sandwiches, to tacos.
Buster’s Lobster Roll is definitely one of the best in Toronto!

The Captain’s Boil
I tried seafood boil for the first time at The Captain’s Boil awhile back, and it was literally amazing.
I think they might’ve even been the first ones to bring seafood boil to Toronto!
The way the menu works is that you choose your catch, flavour, spiciness, and add-ons, and you order it by the pound.
You can choose from all kinds of different seafood options, from lobster, to shrimp, to mussels!
They infuse Cajun and Asian flavours for their sauces, and their Captain’s Boil sauce (a mix of all three of their sauces) is *chef’s kiss*.
Be sure to order fries and dip them in the Captain’s Boil sauce – you’ll thank me later.
The most interesting thing about eating here is that there are no plates or utensils – you eat using only your hands, and you eat right off of the table.
It gets a little messy, but that’s what the bibs and gloves are for!
I personally find that the seafood tends to puncture the bag anyway, so I’d just eat with my hands and have lots of napkins on-hand for less plastic waste!
If you’re just visiting for lunch, you can order their Sizzling Plate, which comes with your choice of either fish or chicken teriyaki, an assortment of seafood (crawfish, shrimp, mussels, clams) with your choice of sauce, and rice!
Their OG location was in North York, and they’ve since expanded to 20 locations across Canada!

Robot Boil House
Robots are your hosts, servers, and food runners at this boil house in the Rosedale neighbourhood.
They’ve got a huge selection of seafood options, including everything from seafood boils to deep-fried seafood dishes.
They’ve also got some pretty great lunch specials, combos, and party trays.
You can also enjoy an all-you-can-eat lobster feast every Thursday for $118.99 per person, which does need to be reserved ahead of time!

Stamps Lane Seafood Bar
Stamps Lane serves up an ever-changing selection of made-from-scratch seafood dishes at their spot in Roncesvalles.
They’re all about celebrating East Coast seafood, and you’ll find an array of dishes like their Roasted Garlic & White Wine Mussels, Fish Tacos, and Lobster Mac & Cheese.
Order their Clam Bake for Two to share, which comes with clams, mussels, lobster, shrimp, potatoes, and corn!
They also serve up brunch, with dishes like their Corned Beef Hash, Breakfast Tacos, and Oatmeal Pancake.
LOCATION: 371 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto, ON
Tinuno
If you haven’t had Filipino food before, prepare to be amazed.
Tinuno offers up a traditional Filipino Kamayan experience, where you eat family-style with your hands.
The Kamayan feast serves two and includes a variety of different seafoods, meats, veggies, and sides.
They’ve also got a la carte appetizers and all-day breakfast available!
You can find their location in St. James Town!

Rodney’s Oyster House
Rodney’s is a long-standing seafood restaurant that’s been serving Toronto for almost 40 years.
Oysters are their specialty, but they’ve got all kinds of incredible seafood options, including cooked dishes like their Adobo Shrimp and Pasta with Scallops.
They source their fresh oysters from around Canada and the world!
They also now have a location in Calgary.

Oyster Boy
My fellow oyster lovers will definitely adore Oyster Boy.
Located in Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood, they serve up oyster and seafood heaven.
Whether you’re a fan of Kusshi oysters from B.C. or French Kiss oysters from New Brunswick, they have tons of oyster options to choose from.
They get their oysters shipped in fresh daily from small farmers on both the east and west coasts of Canada!
If you’re not into fresh oysters, they’ve got baked oysters for ya.
They’ve also got plenty of cold and hot seafood dishes, including Shrimp co*cktail, P.E.I. Lobster Bisque, and Beer Battered Fish N’ Chips.
If you’re in the mood for a seafood feast, they have a Seafood Tower featuring whole P.E.I. lobster, snow crab legs, co*cktail shrimp, red snapper ceviche, Atlantic oysters, and various sauces!

Pearl Diver
Pearl Diver is a cozy seafood restaurant serving up a menu of shareables, seafood towers, and fresh oysters.
From their Chicken Liver & Oyster Pate to their Grilled Sardines, they’ve got plenty of unique dishes.
They also have daily specials everyday, including $65 seafood towers on Tuesdays and 100 oysters for $100 on Thursdays!

Minami
Minami is one of my fave sushi restaurants in Toronto, and they’re actually a sister restaurant to the wildly popular Miku.
They’ve got everything from oshi sushi (pressed sushi) to their own signature sushi rolls, and it’s all amaze.
They also have a variety of small plate and entree options, including their Charred Octopus Wasabi Niçoise and Hamachi Poke Lettuce Wraps.
If you’re in the mood for a tasting menu, they offer a 4-course tasting menu for $125, which can be paired with wine and sake for $40.
They’ve also got an extensive sake list, as well as their own craft co*cktails!

The Chase Fish and Oyster
This chic fine-dining spot on Temperance serves up seafood-focused small plates and craft co*cktails, and everything is absolutely delicious.
They’ve also got seafood platters, which are perfect for sharing.
The bright interior of their rooftop restaurant is stunning, and they’ve even got a beautiful outdoor patio that offers up gorgeous views of the city during the warmer months.
It’s definitely a romantic spot if you’re looking to impress someone!

Miku Toronto
Miku is one of the most popular sushi restaurants in Toronto, and they’re actually originally from Vancouver.
They’re most well-known for their aburi oshi sushi, but they’ve also got other fabulous dishes as well.
Enjoy other seafood dishes like Ebi Fritters (prawns), Hotate Crudo (scallop), or Salmon Shinjo Salad!
Splurge with their Kaiseki (a traditional Japanese-style prix-fixe menu with small dishes) for $175 per person, which features 5 courses on handcrafted Japanese plateware.
Beverage pairings are also available for an additional $60 per person!
The story behind the company is pretty cool: the owner, Seigo Nakamura, took after his father’s sushi restaurant in the 90’s, and he’s since opened up several restaurants in Vancouver and Toronto.

Prime Seafood Palace
Prime Seafood Palace is one of Chef Matty Matheson’s latest ventures, with a focus on high-end seafood dishes.
Enjoy cold seafood dishes like their Dungeness Crab co*cktail or warm seafood dishes like their Grilled Humbodlt Squid, Stratcciatella, White Asparagus.
Other unique dishes include their Lobster and Ricotta Dumplings and Kaviari (which comes with chips, bread, butter, chives, shallots, and creme fraiche).
I adore the cozy and woody architecture of the restaurant – it’s super ~Instagrammable~.

Fishman Lobster Clubhouse Restaurant
Ever seen those epic lobster towers on your Instagram feed?
Fishman is one of Toronto’s most popular spots for lobster towers, and they serve up all kinds of delicious Chinese seafood dishes.
You can choose between set seafood dinners for large groups, or order a la carte dishes.
My fave is the set dinner where the lobster is prepared in 4 different ways!
Chef David Chang of Momof*cku also loves this spot, and he featured it on his Netflix docu-series Ugly Delicious.
It’s actually located in Scarborough by Kennedy & Finch.

Yu Seafood
If you’re looking for something luxurious, Yu Seafood is a fine-dining Chinese restaurant serving up elegant seafood dishes and dim sum.
From their Sea Urchin Siu Mai, to their King Crab Dumplings, to their Crispy Shrimp Croquette with Foie Gras, they’ve got plenty of unique seafood-focused dim sum dishes.
Order their Prosperous Dim Sum Platter to sample a selection of multiple dim sum dishes!
If you’re enjoying dim sum for brunch, you can pair your meal with signature co*cktails or mocktails like their Jasmine Pear Bellini or Dragon Mojito.
They’ve also got signature Chinese teas, some of which they ferment themselves in-house.
Visit their stunning restaurant in Yorkdale, or hit up their original Richmond Hill location!
